Rakuten Kobo has expanded its U.S. retail presence, with its award-winning line of eReaders now available in more than 500 Best Buy locations nationwide. The move complements Kobo's existing U.S. online presence across kobo.com, Staples, and Target, giving readers the chance to browse and handle devices in person before buying.
Products available in-store include the compact, waterproof Kobo Clara Colour and Clara BW, the feature-rich Libra Colour, and accessories like the Kobo Stylus 2 and Kobo Remote. Each device connects to Kobo's broader digital reading ecosystem, including the Kobo Store, all-you-can-read subscription service Kobo Plus, support for a wide range of eBook formats, and library borrowing through Libby and OverDrive.
“Many readers want to be able to pick up a device, see the screen, and feel it in their hands before they commit. With Kobo eReaders now available at Best Buy, more American customers can do just that,” said Michael Tamblyn, CEO, Rakuten Kobo. “But the real magic happens once they get it home."
